The A40 Mk II was known popularly as the Austin A40 Farina which denoted it from previous Austin models. Classed as a small family car, it was made by Austin (BMC) Innocenti between 1958 and 1967 and came as a 2-door saloon, 2-door hatchback or 3-door van. Ā It was superseded by the Austin 1100.
For its latest Oxford outing, it is decorated in a pastel green and contrasting off-white, registered ARH 102B from 1964. Exterior trim sees silver bumpers, radiator grille and hub caps, a silver waistline along the two doors and the bonnet sides as well as the Austin A40 insignia across the boot. Ā The Austin name Ā in black and silver on the radiator and our little family motor is rounded off with a pale green interior.
